Optional Carry Case for 1000MX

A carry case for the Dermfix 1000MX handheld narrowband UVB lamp. It is an optional accessory and does not form part of the standard supply.

The 1000MX is a small unit — 27 × 8cm and 1.1kg — but it does not arrive alone. Protective glasses, a digital timer, a spare flat perspex screen, a removable comb attachment and a three-metre mains lead all come with it. Without a case those parts end up distributed across a drawer, and the one that goes missing is invariably the one needed next.

Two reasons come up. The first is travel. A course of treatment runs over weeks and does not pause for a holiday or a period working away, so the lamp travels with the person using it. The second is storage between sessions: the tube is glass and the screens are perspex, and neither improves for being knocked about loose in a cupboard.

This case is listed for the 1000MX. The 2000SX is a larger twin-tube unit at 33 × 12cm and is not among the products it is made for.

Both lamps are shown in UVB narrowband lamps.

Questions

Is the case included with the lamp?

No. The 1000MX is supplied with the lamp, glasses, timer, spare flat screen and instructions. The case is ordered separately.

What will fit inside it?

It is sized for the 1000MX, which measures 27 × 8cm. We have not published internal dimensions for the case, so if you need to confirm that a particular item will travel alongside the lamp, ask us before ordering rather than assuming.

Will it take a 2000SX?

No. The 2000SX is a larger unit and this case is listed for the 1000MX only.
