What wavelengths do the RLF panels use?
The Dermfix RLF panels emit seven selectable wavelengths — 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850 and 1060nm — across the visible red and near-infrared parts of the spectrum. You choose the combination from the touchscreen or the handheld remote.
How is the output (irradiance) measured?
Output is quoted in mW/cm² at a stated distance. Each RLF panel is independently spectrometer-tested at 15cm and the figure is published on its product page — from 82 mW/cm² on the RLF750 to 92 mW/cm² on the RLF6000. We publish measured figures rather than headline numbers.
Which panel size should I choose?
It depends on the area you want to cover: the compact RLF300 or RLF750 for smaller areas, the RLF1500 for half-body, and the RLF3000 or RLF6000 for full-body. Larger panels cover more at once, so sessions are shorter.
What is the difference between the red light panels and the UVB lamps?
The RLF panels are LED devices emitting red and near-infrared light. The Dermfix 1000MX and 2000SX are narrowband UVB (311nm) lamps — a different type of device. Dermfix supplies both; which you need depends on your intended use.
Are the devices CE certified?
Yes. Dermfix devices are CE-tested to EN 60335-2-27, the applicable standard for skin exposure to optical radiation above 780nm.
Do you deliver in the UK, Canada and Australia?
Dermfix Ltd ships within the UK, and also serves Canada and Australia. UK orders are dispatched from UK stock; delivery details are shown on the product and checkout pages.
What warranty is included?
All RLF panels and the Halo come with a 3-year warranty as standard.
Do I need eye protection?
The LEDs are bright, so eye protection is recommended for comfort. If you prefer not to use it, avoid looking directly into the LEDs.
Can the panels be used in a bathroom or sauna?
The standard RLF panels are IP20 rated, so keep them to dry rooms away from water and steam. A separate IP65-rated SPA panel is available for damp environments where stocked.
What do the pulsing settings do?
Pulsing rapidly switches the LEDs on and off (0–9999Hz). It is included on the panels as an advanced option; the manual explains the settings.
What are the preset modes?
The RLF panels include one-touch preset modes plus saveable custom programmes, set from the touchscreen or remote. Details are in the included manual.
Why do the LEDs look like different colours?
Each LED is a dual-chip design combining two wavelengths, so the panel shows a mix of colours when lit.
Should I use it on bare skin?
Light is blocked by clothing, so clean, dry, exposed skin gives the most direct exposure. Apply any creams or lotions after use rather than before.
How do I control the panel?
Each RLF panel has a touchscreen and an included handheld remote, with 0–100% dimming and a built-in 1–30 minute timer.
